FITS Exclusive: Knotts to Mount Write-In Campaign for Governor

Three sources have confirmed to FITS that State Sen. Jakie Knotts (left) is planning to run for governor against incumbent Mark Sanford in the general election as a write-in candidate.

In 2002, Knotts supported Democratic Governor Jim Hodges against Sanford and has already endorsed Newberry physician Dr. Oscar Lovelace against the governor in this year's GOP primary.

Knotts' political consultant, Rod Shealy, is currently running Dr. Lovelace's primary campaign.

Jakie is an illiterate swine.

Seriously, shouldn't you have to be able to read and write before you can govern a state, even South Carolina?

Jakie would be a better governor than the clueless Sanford, but then most anyone would.

Dear Seventh Generation-

Jakie a better governor?

Pray tell, how many of those seven generations included inbreeding?

Is there any polling on Knotts chances?

Anyone remember the great gubenatorial campaign of Knotts' close friend, the one and only Jimmy Metts? How about the song he released bashing then Governor David Beasley? Metts later dropped his campaign but not before a little damage was done to the Beasley camp. "Time" even did an article on this I believe. Speculation at the time was that some high-powered video poker interests solicited the Sheriff to inflict said damage against Beasley, a fellow GOP'er. Jakie has a history of supporting Dems, in primaries(he endorsed a Dem against GOP Rep. Marion Frye in 1999). I'm wondering if Jakie's alleged write-in race is nothing more than a lame attempt at grabbing some negative publicity against the Governor? Talk about your RINO's - Jakie is certainly an epitome. Plus, he's just a redneck with no class who was booed by his own constiuents at a recent festival parade and he locks his pets in hot cars while eating at the Kingsman in Cayce and then threatening the police officer who wrote him a ticket for endangering the life of an animal. Jakie should be more concerned with retaining his own senate seat which he could very easily lose to Kenny Bingham or Nikki Haley.

I only wish that Jakie had to give up his Senate seat...then maybe I could actually have a real senator represent me in the Senate.

Yep, the Masked One's memory is astounding - here's the "Time" article http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/time/1998/09/28/south.carolina.html on the "David Just Wants to Have Fun" (to the tune of Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want to Have Fun) song that Metts put out to embarass Beasley. Jakie launching a write-in campaign just reminds me too much of his friend Jimmy's antics.

I'm for Jakie... one of Sanford's "taxpayer heroes," remember? Or would FITS just like to ignore that like he ignores the fact that Sanford endorsed Ryberg?

None of the generations included inbreeding or arrests for domestic violence, Willard.

Dear Seventh Generation Inbred-

Wowzers. Can you at least come up with an original friggin' insult? Are you seriously pulling the Sic Willie-CDV thing on a Jakie Knotts' post?

Of course, it's more germane (you may want to look that word up in a dictionary) than you think. After all, what you neglect to point out about your beloved inbred redneck Senator is that he recently helped get one of his good strip club drinking buddies OFF on a CDV charge.

Yup, Jakie's reputation for exemplary (you may want to look that one up, too) constituent service is certainly safe after that one, well, unless the constituent you're talking about is the woman his buddy beat up.

So how's about this, inbred. Why don't you go and feel up your sister, take a shower in your manufactured home, fix a spam sandwich in the microwave and promise yourself that you're not going back to the public library's internet portal until you've thought of something original to say.

Oh, and enjoy your service.

Jakie is a great person. Jakie and I grew up in the same neighborhood. He is a self made man. We are all proud of Jakie, and he has shown what determination and motivation can do. I suggest all of you stop your jealousy and support Jakie. Do you know all of the answers?
