Offensive Theodore Posts Pulled From Porsche Website

FITS has learned that posts made by Democratic Comptroller General candidate Drew Theodore on a Porsche enthusiasts' blog - posts calling Columbia the "arm pit of the South" and urging his fellow Porsche owners to "leave the spouses behind" for one of their proposed gatherings - have been pulled from the site.

The posts, uncovered by the blog S.C. Solon and reported on over the weekend by WIS-TV, are just two of nearly 700 comments Theodore has submitted to the blog.

Let's see ... removing offensive posts from a blog (Theodore), invoking the Willie Horton strategy (Jim Rex) and dredging up decade-old financial records of a candidate's one-time contractor (Grady Patterson).

Yup, Joe Erwin's got a really classy slate of candidates this go-round.

Well there are ways of pulling the history of websites, snapshots if you will in time of what was there and you can bet someone...will do it!

I'm betting 'ole Drew's wife had a hand in getting those posts removed. His skirt chasing days are over (at least until deer season). I'll bet his chick-magnet Porche will be sporting a For Sale sign soon as well. Losing the election in November will be minor compared to the grief he'll be getting from his wife. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

I still do not see the big deal with what he said. Especially the leave the husbands or wifes at home. It looked like he did not want it to be a social event and more about cars.
Apparently you are not a car guy.

Wil, I'm not quite sure which consitutes a spouse in this context, his Mrs. or his Porsche... In the light of the Foley affair, perhaps Drew's "auto-eroticism" has to be covered up with a soft chamois.

Anyone else think Nick Theodore looks like Sam Waterson from Law & Order?

I agree with the Sam Waterston comment. The resemblance is significant. But he would definitely qualify as more of a "poor man's Sam Waterston".

... in the end he did not trust the people of SC to judge these comments for themselves.

He had them removed without a word to anyone...

He is just a wanna be playboy spending more on his exotic cars than most South Carolinians make in a year...

…it is pathetic.

He posted nearly 700 comments! That's and outrage! One of them even referred to Columbia as the armpit of S.C. because of the heat and humidity!! I say we string him up by mag tires. And self deprecating comments about stock investments not working out...this is the most outrageous things I have ever heard of!! Eckstrom needs to take his state owned car and run him over (note: this is not explicitly outlawed by S.C. statues or the S.C. constitution so?)
